Nervous novices, veterans, freestylers and snowboarders all give this place top marks and that’s just for all the different ways there are for sliding over the ‘white stuff’. You can also throw in beaucoup de après-ski with loads of bars for drinking and clubs for dancing…and drinking. There’s a bit of a quirky local craze for Geocaching too - using your mobile’s GPS to ‘hunt’ for ‘treasure’. All this, in a postcard-perfect position, high on a rocky alpine promontory, where you’re not a naff tourist if you ride around in a horse-drawn sleigh. In this traffic-free resort, they’re the local taxis.
