This fantastic resort plonks you slap-bang in the middle of ski central – with moguls, steep, long descents and quiet pistes right on your doorstep – but without all the queues and mega-bucks tourist traps. It’s much more laid-back and take-it-as-it-comes than Chamonix Town. However, don’t worry, even though it’s very much a village-vibe, it’s a colourful, non-stop place offering all the apres-ski shenanigans you’d expect – with Shot o’Clock and Cocktail Madness very much on the menu.
