23rd - 27th January 2019
Exams are finished and it is time to get ready for a well deserved weekend away. Pack all the essentials, print or download your E-tickets and don't forget your passport. Make sure you are at the departure point at least 30 minutes before the stated time on your E-ticket. Bring your favourite music and some Disney DVDs, your comfiest pillow and maybe a blanket too, we want your journey to be as comfy as possible. Tinkerbell's Top Tip: There will be a couple of stops along the way but bring plenty of snacks and drinks for the journey. We are travelling over night and the service station shops are not always open.
Welcome to Paris and the place you can buy magic. Check in is not until 2pm but if we arrive early don't worry we have a place you can leave your luggage. All the rooms have been allocated before departure so you'll know who you are sharing with, don't worry if you can't remember the Outgoing reps are on hand to help you!! Peter's Pick of the Day: If you haven't pre-booked your character dinner/breakfast or any other Disney extra we recommend you do it first thing at the hotel reception, to avoid any disappointment. The reps are there to give you a hand!!
Once you are in your rooms settled and freshened up, why not head to Down Town Disney for some shopping and Dinner. Mickey's Magical Memories: The welcome party will be hosted tonight. So get your glad rags on and get ready to meet up with everyone else from BCU Students' Union.
Up early and start the day the right way. In your welcome pack you will have your park tickets for BOTH Disney parks and your Earl Sandwich Shop breakfast voucher - that's right breakfast is FREE on Disney Days!! Head outside the hotel to collect the Disney shuttle. Please remember these can be very busy and you will need to show your Disney ticket. If you don't fancy the shuttle then you can enjoy the pleasant stroll from the hotel to Disneyland. It will take you about 15 minutes unless you walk as slow as Eeyore!! Don't be as ditzy as Daisy Duck - only take out your park ticket for Friday, you don't want to lose the others.
Make sure you've planned your days so you don't miss out on these world famous roller-coasters. Buzz Lightyear's favourite coaster is Space Mountain - he said it's not to be missed!! Please leave yourself plenty of time for the queues, although this time of year it will be out of season and slightly quieter than school holidays.
The closing times for the park will be in your information pack including what time the closing show is and the fire work display. Mike and Sully said don't forget there are 2 parks and 2 closing shows, so make sure you see one of them each night!! If you don't fancy the hustle and bustle of Down Town you can order room service in your room while watching your favorite Disney Movie or, have a few drinks at the hotel bar.
You have a Magic Hour morning which means you get to go into the park before the public and day tickets ............. use this wisely!! Cinderella's Secret: head straight into the park and collect your 'Princess Visit slot' at the Princess Pavilion ready to see them later on. Also remember to collect your breakfast from Earl again ... he will be waiting!!
By now your have been on every roller-coaster in BOTH Disney parks. So it's Parade time!! Check what time the parades are on and make sure you don't miss any ........... there is a Princess Parade outside the Magic Kingdom, the classic Disney Parade through the streets of Disney Boulevard and don't forget The Star Wars show in Disney Studios!! Flounder's Favourite: Get yourself down to the Magic Kingdom early so you can get a good spot for the closing firework display over Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
It's the last night in Disneyland, so after you've seen the closing Firework display for a second time, make the most of the shopping area to buy some last minute souvenirs and presents to take home. Pascal's Pick: a 10 minute walk away from the hotel is a small supermarket/garage and it's the perfect place to pick up some snacks and breakfast for the journey home tomorrow.
All good things have to come to an end. Sadly it's time to head back to BCU and upload those amazing pics to Instagram and make everyone jealous. It's not goodbye, just a see you later from Mickey and the gang here in the land where dreams come true.
